If you where given a key to a brand new, shinny, expensive, manual (stick), car and told to be somewhere in a matter of minutes; but you absolutely had no idea how to drive a car, but had some knowledge on what a car did…how frustrated would you be? You would know how to start it…you have the key. But you would get behind the wheel, start up the car, and proceed to figure out what the pedals are for; and you would wonder why there is three of them. You would then proceed to grind the clutch/gears, stall the car, drive all over the road because your not concentrating on the road, but trying to get the car to advance. You start to kick it, curse it and beat it. You know you have the vehicle to get to where you needed to go in the time allowed, but, you didn’t have the understanding on how to use it.

How many Christians are in that same boat? Frustrated that the Word is not working for them. Well as believers, we know the Word works! It is getting the right information and understanding on how it works. When you went to school, you had to learn what 2 + 2 equals. Now you use that information you learned way back in grade one on a daily basis. When you understand how something works…it becomes easier; to the point that it becomes second nature. Many times we have we heard preacher after preacher with enticing words; prophetic words, but we did not understand or know how these words could impact our personal lives. Thus, we where encouraged, but we left the meeting the same way we arrived…because we could not take in the entire message God was trying to get over to us. Thus many believers give up or blame God…for their lack of knowledge.
